Tupu'anga Mentoring Programme
Tupu’anga is a programme whereby students receive mentoring for three years, beginning at year through to the end of year 13. The mentors are qualified young men and women from a social services agency called Affirming Works (AW).
The tupu-anga mentoring programme engages students in their learning through various activities which include: Meeting with mentors in school
University/tertiary trips Family contact/engagement Camps (during school holidays) Community service – organising and implementing an act of service in the community. Opportunity for NCEA study after school. Support in extra-curricular activities Overseas trip (year 13 students only).
