2008 Sports Awards
The 2008 Papatoetoe High School Sports Awards took place on Monday 20th October. It was a memorable occasion with ex pupil Dillon Boucher as the guest speaker. The next generation of sporting superstars were honoured during the evening for their performances throughout the year. Gold Medallion & Galloway cup winner NZ Karate Rep Kayla Stowers with Principal Gall pictured. Notable winners on the night were Kayla Stowers (Gold Medallion & Galloway Cup), Sami Tu'ituopou (Most Promising Sportsperson), Emerging XI Boys Football (Team of the Year) and Brittany House and Chrystl Stowers (Special Sports Contribution). Papatoetoe & Pukekohe Sports Exchange
The 2008 sports exchange between Papatoetoe High and Pukekohe High took place on the 26th August. The weather was fine and a great days sporting play took place. Sports Awards Evening 2007
On Tuesday 16th October our annual Sports Awards Evening took place. Our hosts for the night were Frazer Macdonald and Charity TePana our 2007 Sports Captains. They produced an evening of entertainment and celebration of success that will be remembered for a long time. Guest speaker former Silver Fern and current Cook Island Coach (Netball) Ana No'ovao gave a thouroughly enjoyable and motivating speech that will undoubtedly have provided insipration for the next generation of student athletes.
